Custom PC Build

In 2020, I designed and built a custom PC with a $1,500 budget, focusing on achieving the perfect balance between performance and cost-effectiveness. My goal was to create a machine capable of handling demanding 3D modeling and rendering tasks while also delivering a smooth recreational gaming experience. To maximize performance, I prioritized an optimal graphics card and CPU, carefully researching components to get the most value for my money without compromising quality. Alongside functionality, I wanted the build to be aesthetically pleasing, resulting in a system that not only performed exceptionally well but also looked sleek and modern.

Building my custom PC was an exciting and rewarding process. I chose the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC gaming motherboard as the foundation for its excellent compatibility and features, ensuring a strong and reliable system. For storage, I opted for a Seagate IronWolf 4TB NAS internal hard drive, providing plenty of space for 3D modeling projects, rendering files, and personal use. Powering the build was an AMD Ryzen 7 3700 8-core, 16-thread unlocked desktop processor paired with the Wraith Prism LED cooler, offering impressive performance and built-in RGB flair.

To handle gaming and graphics-heavy tasks, I selected the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 Super overclocked 6GB graphics card, delivering great visuals and efficiency within my budget. For the power supply, the Corsair CX600 - 80 Plus Bronze Certified unit provided consistent and reliable energy. My system’s memory came from G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4 RAM (16GB), which ensured fast and seamless multitasking. To keep temperatures low and add a touch of style, I installed the ID-COOLING AuraFlow X 240 Snow CPU water cooler with 12V RGB, enhancing the build’s overall aesthetic.

I placed special emphasis on cable management to keep the interior clean and organized, giving the PC a polished and professional appearance. This not only improved airflow for optimal cooling but also complemented the modern aesthetic I envisioned for the build. The result was a system that was as functional and powerful as it was visually striking.
